“Blew my mind”: The US content creator obsessed with AFL

Paco Luciano is obsessed with Aussie Rules football. He loves it!

It even says it in his Instagram bio - New to AFL, obsessed with AFL.

The US content creator and streamer’s social pages are filled with AFL highlights and his candid reactions. It’s clear to see how passionate he is.

He reckons Kozzy Pickett is “ridiculous” and a “beautiful man”. As a result he is warming to the Demons.

Paco has channels on YouTube and Twitch as well as his growing Insta page where he is learning more and more about the AFL.

“I never knew that Australia had its own football league, so I started doing research and was reading about how the game has been around for over 100 years,” Luciano said on SEN Breakfast.

“I decided to watch highlights for the first time on my stream and it just blew my mind.

“The players are hitting each other harder than in American football and they have pads on, and you guys don’t.

“How can you not fall in love with a game that is bringing all these sports together in one and you have to showcase all of these talents and abilities and skills.

“It’s just the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

He wants Americans to take Australia’s most popular game more seriously.

“The time differential is no excuse. We just have to do better as Americans to promote the game,” he added.

“I think us as Americans have no excuse, we have to do better. We are the ones that are lost in the sauce. We are the ones missing out here.

“It’s our fault, we are the ones that have to promote this game. We have to put this game on every TV channel, on every content creator’s page.

“We have to do something to get this game global and I will not stop until I can do something, if an AFL game can be played over here or something.”
