New Zealand Breakers star Sam Mennenga has been wowing crowds in the NBL this season, and he may have produced his best highlight yet on Wednesday night.

While the Breakers went down 123-116 to South East Melbourne Phoenix at the State Basketball Centre, Mennenga did everything he could to get his team over the line with 28 points, five rebounds and a ridiculous dunk.

Mennenga’s dunk came late in the second quarter, putting Phoenix centre Jordan Hunter on a poster.

After catching the ball off the pick and roll, Mennenga faked a three, getting his defender to jump, opening up the runway for him to attack the rim and dunk on Hunter’s head.

Averaging 17.1 points and 6.6 rebounds a game, Sydney Kings coach and former Boomers coach Brian Goorjian thinks that the Kiwi is one player who should make the jump to the NBA next season.
