Delisted Cat Ted Clohesy is eyeing off a career lifeline, invited to trial for a rookie spot via SSP selection at Port Adelaide.

Drafted as a Next Gen Academy player in 2023, Clohesy would only make 12 appearances for Geelong across three seasons, mainly as a back-up midfield option for the stacked Cats.

Within his nine games last season - six of which he was named sub - Clohesy averaged eight disposals and two tackles, however his scintillating VFL numbers of 28 disposals and eight tackles per game held the young gun in high regard.

At just 21 years of age, Clohesy will head to Alberton with the hopes of bolstering their midfield group, trialling for their final spot ahead of the February 20 deadline.
