Sea Eagles forward Caleb Navale will miss majority of the 2026 season after suffering an ACL injury at training.

Navale is now set to undergo surgery to repair the rupture in his right knee in a major blow to the young forward.

The 22-year-old was set to become a regular in Manly's first-grade side in 2026, having debuted in 2024 and made seven appearances last season.

The lock forward has also represented Fiji on seven occasions since 2023.

“We’re all feeling for Caleb at the moment,” coach Anthony Seibold said.

“He’s had his best pre-season ever and was on track to be a regular in our match day lineup.

“I do know Caleb will throw everything he can into his rehab and the goal now is to get him back before the end of the season.”

Navale was due to play in Manly's first trial against the Warriors on Saturday, but has been replaced by Jersey Flegg player Tom Summer.
