Expert form analyst Mark Hunter has taken a look at the million-dollar Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on Saturday, breaking down each horse in the sprint, runner by runner.

See Hunter's analysis of the Lightning Stakes below:

Hunter has one horse on top for the Group 1 and it's the favourite - Tentyris.

“I think Tentyris will win, I think he's a star. I think he's the best horse in the race,” Hunter said.

“I think he would've won the Coolmore Stakes, if it was 1000m. He (was) just jogging behind them and he could've picked them up whenever he wanted.

“He strikes me as not a dumb horse, but just a gradual improver - he didn't know what he was doing on debut, he’s (just) got better and better.

“He showed his real ability in the Todman (and) I think he would've won the Slipper if he stayed sound.

“I think they've trained him with more intent for this Lightning Stakes. He looks to be going fantastic at the trials, D-Lane's had a sit on him.

“He's just got to not be in the wrong spot and get left behind when the leaders kick. If he's close enough, I think he'll run them down.”

Hunter also provided a YES or NO rating for each horse in the sprint.
