Who is the player you least like coming up against?

SEN.com.au asked each of the 18 AFL captains which opponent(s) they have the most trouble with.

See their answers below:

ADELAIDE club banner

Jordan Dawson: “Probably Callum Mills. I played on him a few times against Sydney. They’re always a tough game and he’s a real competitor.”

Brisbane club banner

Harris Andrews: “There’s so many great forwards, guys like Jesse Hogan, Sam Darcy, Josh Treacy - there’s plenty of great forwards out there and I don’t love playing on any of them.”

Carlton club banner

Patrick Cripps: “Any tagger really. I like playing against all players to be fair, I like the battle.”

Collingwood club banner

Darcy Moore: “I would say Jeremy Cameron because he’s so damn good. He plays up the ground, deep, does whatever he wants, but it’s actually also kind of fun playing against him because it’s a real thrill.”

Essendon club banner

Andy McGrath:Jamie Elliott is very tough to play on. He’s been around for a while now and I’ve had some really good battles with him. He’s always challenging.”

Fremantle club banner

Alex Pearce:Charlie Curnow is probably the toughest. I think it will be good fun playing on him at the Swans. I reckon he’ll recapture some of his best.”

Geelong club banner

Patrick Dangerfield: “None really. I love coming up against the best players. Big Sammy Collins and I had a good fracas last year and then we played Origin together, so maybe that match-up. She’s scary with that beard.”

GOLD COAST club banner

Noah Anderson: “The Bont (Marcus Bontempelli) is pretty hardtop play against. Crippa (Patrick Cripps) is pretty hard to move in there. All the big boys in the midfield are pretty tough.”

GWS Giants club banner

Toby Greene: “There’s a couple of good shutdown backs in the comp that I don’t love playing against. I’ve had some good battles with Brandon Starcevich, Dane Rampe and Brayden Maynard.”

Hawthorn club banner

Jai Newcombe: “I’m paired with Andy McGrath today, so the Essendon rivalry I don’t like.”

Melbourne club banner

Max Gawn: “Ahhhh, Jarrod Witts.”

North Melbourne club banner

Nick Larkey: “I find Tom McCartin really tough. He’s a very good defender, moves really well, is hard to get in behind. He’s strong, he’s fit, he’ll run all day, a good size and very physical and aggressive. He’s a very good player.”

Port Adelaide club banner

Connor Rozee: “When you get tagged there’s those players, but in terms of how good they are it’s probably some of the bigger midfielders. Just because I’m not as tall as some of them like Paddy (Cripps) and Marcus Bontempelli. Those players are pretty tough to play on.”

Richmond club banner

Toby Nankervis: “There’s a few. Big Maxy (Max Gawn) is right up there. Tom De Koning is a pretty good player as well, I think he’s going to be pretty special. So those two.”

ST KILDA club banner

Cal Wilkie:Aaron Naughton because we always get smoked by the Bulldogs. The ball is coming in with a lot of flames on it, so he usually kicks a few on me.”

Sydney Swans club banner

Callum Mills: “They’re all hard when you’re a defender. I don’t have one in particular for you.”

West Coast club banner

Reuben Ginbey:Jezza Cameron. First time I played on him he kicked nine, then the last time I kept him to one before he kicked four in the last five minutes and kicked five. So he’s averaging seven against me, but I can bring that average down.”

Marcus Bontempelli: “At the Swans, Isaac Heeney has got a hold of us a few times. He’s always a tough match-up, he’s always had a few absolute rippers against us. Caleb Serong from Fremantle has got a hold of us on a few occasions as well. Jeremy Cameron at times. There a couple of players that when we come up against them we’ve really got to clamp down on.”
