The Brisbane Broncos have found their replacement for Payne Haas, having reportedly signed Australian and NSW representative Mitch Barnett.
The Warriors' front rower, according to News Corp, is set to sign a three-year deal (two years guaranteed with the option for the third) worth $2.4 million, which sees him join the reigning premiers from 2027.
Barnett's signing will help fill the void left by Payne Haas, who is off to reunite with former coach Wayne Bennett at the Rabbitohs next year.
During Barnett's four-year tenure with the New Zealand side, he played 49 games, proving to be a key player under Andrew Webster.
But the 31-year-old confirmed last month that he would leave the club and return home to Australia for personal reasons.
He is yet to play a game in 2026, having suffered a season-ending ACL injury last year. He's set to return within the next couple of rounds.
