"Bring on the next show": Badel responds to heated Tallis debate

Following his heated conversation with Gorden Tallis over Adam Reynolds on NRL 360, Peter Badel has spoken about his feelings post the incident.

During the Wednesday broadcast of the show, the two would get in a heated battle over Reynolds’ absence for their Grand Final rematch against the Melbourne Storm due to a rib cartilage injury.

Given he was able to travel to Sydney last Friday to fulfil his Fox League commitments, Tallis believed that the captain should have made himself available for the clash and play through the injury for the betterment of the winless side.

In that argument, the Courier Mail journalist disagreed, noting that it’s too early in the season to start playing through injuries.

It was then that Badel noted that Tallis had made himself unavailable for a whole season whilst playing for the Dragons in 1996.

Following that, it prompted the Broncos legend to accuse the journalist of bringing coach Michael Maguire’s ‘s--t’ into their argument.

Reflecting on the verbal spar, the journalist noted that despite their differences on the topic, it made for some excellent viewing.

“It was a great show,” Badel said on SENQ Breakfast.

“And as you know, Cozza (Corey Parker), you’re in this industry, we love good radio and good TV.

“And it’s all about entertainment. So, it was wonderful and bring on the next show.”

The Broncos’ clash against the Storm will be held at AAMI Park as they look to break their winless start to the season.

Kick-off takes places at 8pm AEDT.

SEN will have live coverage of the match through Broncos Radio on SENQ and on the SEN app straight after SEN League’s coverage of the Roosters v Panthers match.
