Race 3 | 10. Supergrace

Had every chance last start but had too much of a look around. Blinkers go on for that exact reason and id say they wall help a lot! She will have the exact same run from that gate and speed map works for her nicely. She has had the freshen but stays at the trip with a little Flemington trial in between. If the blinkers helps her improve the length or so needed, she will win this race!

Race 6 | 2. Karasmatic

Gets to 1600m third up which works here! Hasn’t set the world on fire in the couple runs this prep but has improved and they have been tougher than this. DS can stalk the speed and I do feel drawn wider allows this horse to settle better than drawn pole as he has both starts this prep. A drying track wouldn’t be ideal as but it won't stop him from having his chance in this grade. Has to carry weight but senior jockey is a big tick. Will go very close!

NEWCASTLE

Race 1 | 5. Scoop The Pool

Looks a filly who is is looking for distance and gets that 3rd up today! She was really strong though the line at mile last start and the winner ran really well in a G1 Saturday. Soft track no concern at all and expect her to enjoy the setup today. Ran really well at her only 3rd up prior and she will do the same here! Drawn nicely to find her groove and run over the top!

Race 2 | 1. Chumpakidd (each-way)

Don’t be diving in here but double figures (was $16) for this girl off a bunch of good trials and a really nice gate seems silly. Haven't seen a huge amount from the tried horses and the fave Catalina looked good in an easy trial but is drawn sticky. I think Chump can be on pace with her early speed and be in the finish.

Race 4 | 1. Lightning Glory

I really like Erin Jo but the 1200m plus the gate she has, has me backing LG. He will go control the race and be hard to catch! Was really good winning on debut this exact track and trip and today looks similar set up. Only Soft track was in a tough race in town. Has trialled up really well and will be mighty hard to catch and go past!

Race 5 | 14. Let's Be Honest

She clearly will be at her best deeper into the prep over some distance but that gate, combined with blinkers and couple of nice trials makes me think she is forward. I have no doubt she is the classiest horse in the race, just need a little luck early. She will be prominent and be hard to beat! Really like her as a filly and hoping she can prove it today!

Race 5 | 10. Hell's Diamond

A debutant on debut for the hayes stable. I really liked their other debutant that has been scratched which opens the race right up for her. Drawn well. Nice professional trials leading up. And a stack of early market support. Over to you Stacky $2.70.

NEWCASTLE

Race 3 | 2. Charlina

Speedster who will enjoy the soft track. Barrier one ideal and a nice claim all suggest a strong showing today. The one to catch $2.30.

TOWNSVILLE

Race 4 | 9. Storm Capital

Brownbooked this horse a few races back and it bolted in last start. Stays at the 1000m trip and now knows how to win after it being elusive early in its career. Can sit just off speed and finish over the top again. $3.80.
