Campbell Brown & Cam Luke have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Gosford, Mackay & Darwin in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
GOSFORD
Race 3 | 5. Chataigne
Debut run was good. Not beaten far Santono Glow who came out and blew them away next start down Flemington straight in G3. Should have taken enormous benefit from debut run. Draws barrier one and comes up against some first starters in a small field. $4.40.
MACKAY
Race 1 | 3. Fabulean
Won well two starts back before going to Gold Coast last start. Will find this much easier. Back onto a good track helps. Should be winning. $2.30.
DARWIN
Race 1 | 2. Maxxi Bon
Been knocking on the door to win again with a couple nice seconds. Will camp off speed and if the go quick will be eating the ground up late. $3.

GOSFORD
Race 1 | 3. Aussie Nation (win)
Can be a tad frustrating but got a little squeeze when the race was there to be won last start, now I don’t think he would have caught Magicon but I also don’t think this race is as tough. Ran well at his only 4th up start and I like him having 2nd crack at the trip (2000 last start) and he is rock hard fit. Soft wont be an issue and he is drawn to have a nice run, albeit he probably drifts back anyway but MF (claim a tick also) has options. Monty Be Quick and Sweet Bubbles will be controlling the race but I think AN has more class and will get there late.
Race 2 | SRM - 7. Lupa Capitolina (win) & 1. Master Of War (top 3)
Lupa Capitolina - Been crying out for the 1600 and gets to it here! Might settle a little closer today rather than be beaten for speed over shorter trips! She has been in tougher races short of what her best trip will be and up from 1300 second up works well here and she should break her maiden today.
Master Of War - Didn’t run out the trip last start and back in distance, expect him to be on speed today. His best effort was at Wyong a few back over the 1600 and even though he was five off them, that was tougher than this (and the winner got an amazing steer up the inside) He will put himself in the race and expect him to run top 3!
Race 3 | 5. Chataigne (win)
Needs to jump a little better so not having to work to box seat this time but race experience should help that! Satono Glow won that race and then went and won a Group race next. Drawn perfectly to box seat again and the soft track was handled in the debut run. This race has a little depth about it and I have a couple in the early quaddie but expect this girl to improve with debut out the way and be very hard to beat!
Race 4 | SRM - 4. Maidoff (win) & 6. Star Half (top 3)
Maidoff - Forgive last start as it has trailed up really well since. Little drop back in trip wont hurt and the good track is a big plus! Will have a run of the race from the gate and as long as the last run was an actual outlier, she will be too classy here!
Star Half - was a weird run on debut when jumped with them and then tailed off. Got going late and somehow even passed a couple. Better drawn so wont be snagged which might have confused him that day. Race experience is a big plus here as is the drop in class of race. Expect him to run really well here.
Race 5 | 10. Shoutaboutit (each-way)
Drawn perfectly to do exactly what she did last start albeit in it in an easier race! She stays at the 1200 and will roll along with the 3kg claim giving her no weight. She’ll be able to hold the fence and fingers crossed Beverly Hills docent annoy her too much on speed. It's my widest leg of the Quaddie but expect her to be in the finish.
Race 6 | 6. Just Response (win) / 5. Lone Artist (exacta)
Just Response - Goes very well fresh and has trialled up as always. Will go forward and control the race. Scratchings have made this even easier to do so. 1200m is her sweet spot and she will get every opportunity. Regal Problem got her first up last prep and I don’t think there is a horse with that class here today to stop her!
Lone Artist - Should find this a little easier and will have run of the race in the box seat! His 1200m runs late last year measure up to this grade and gets all the favours now with the good track as well. Expect to run well and chase home JR.
Race 7 | 2. Cool Storm (win)
Drawn the pole and will love to roll along in front. Back to the 1000m is a big plus as is the drying Good track! This is a smidge easier now with the Scratching of Honey Perfume and she has been running in races with a little bit of depth. A few of the other on speed runners are drawn wide (Fine Wine / Gold Lover) so hoping they take their medicine and go back! The claim helps and she will blow along in front and be mighty hard to catch!
