Carlton's Will Hayward is set to miss the Baggers' Gather Round clash against the Crows on Thursday.
The former Swan turned Blue has been given a one-week suspension by the Match Review Officer after striking North Melbourne's George Wardlaw.
The incident would occur during the third quarter, with Hayward's left arm making contact with the 21-year-old's torso after kicking the ball, prompting a 50-metre penalty.
The MRO would deem the strike as intentional with medium impact on his body, resulting in a one-match suspension.
Carlton is yet to confirm whether they'll challenge the decision.
They have until 11am AEST on Tuesday to do so.
