Cam Luke & Mick Gannon have your Friday sorted on Trackside.

We have taken a close look at Tamworth, Wellington & Geelong in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

TAMWORTH

Race 5 | 3. Zoucratic

Thought he was ok first-up when getting back but stays at the 1200m today and from a good gate, should be a little more prominent. His run wasn’t too bad and might have finished second when a gap closed at the 100m, albeit he was a tad soft late. Fitness will help that today. He is better second-up than resuming and also a firmer deck today should have him running really well.

Race 8 | 8. Brighella

Drawn perfectly to stalk the speed and pounce late. Didn’t have a huge amount of luck last start in a slightly tougher race than this! Never ever runs a bad race and certainly not here at the trip! Good track another bonus and in a race that doesn’t bat overly deep, he will be very hard to beat!

WELLINGTON

Race 3 | 2. Will To Excel

Will enjoy the drop in class and the rise in distance today. He is a fit horse who handles all race conditions, and I think this race is even shallower than the number assigned it. My slight concern is the map as he will meander back early and I can’t see a massive amount of speed (would like Blazing Guru to get keen) but in saying that I think he is the classiest horse in the race and expect him to be hard to hold out back to 2400m!

Race 4 | 8. Dirty Dani

She had trialled really well prior to the debut run at Newcastle where she struggled first time at races. This is easier and the rise to the 1100m will be a bonus a well. Hopefully from that gate gets into a groove with some cover which will help her. The tried horses in this race are meh and if she has the improvement I expect, she will be hard to beat!

Race 7 | 4. Denman Bandit

Catch him if you keen! Little freshen up since last start and back to 900m works here! Drawn low to control the race and hold the fence. Plenty of fast horses here as you can imagine but this is easier than his last couple of 1000m. Won on debut here and I think he will do the same today!

GEELONG

Race 5 | 11. Zane Zena (each-way)

Found the 1000m too short on debut in a race where the form has been solid with 2 horses winning since! It was clear she was going to need further and gets it today. The speed is decent so LR will need some luck from that inside gate as I would suggest she might get back a little! She will benefit from that day and Geelong as a track should suit her! Handsome Missile is the danger, and the form last start is good for this but I think ZZ is way over the odds at $15 and a really nice each way play!

Race 6 | 4. Burleigh

Interesting prep so far belted them on debut, then wrong part of track and last start outclassed and too short of a trip! Today, fit firing and blinkers on back to the 1300m signals intent. Toe into the ground won't slow him up and the race is most certainly his level. Expect him to go sit OSL Rigazza and be too tough late!

Race 7 | 10. Short Reply

Keeps hitting the line this prep and the 1500m should be perfect. Soft track I think is a bonus as well. There is a little pace engaged but JA should be assertive early and have him box seat. He is having a really good prep and has won 4th up before and couldn't be fitter and ready to win again!

Mick Gannon

TAMWORTH

Race 2 | 3. Big Short

Doesn’t win out of turn but always runs well at the mile and finds a very winnable race. From barrier 4 he’ll land forward of midfield and get his chance.

Race 6 | 8. Invincible Red

His clear career peak comes at this track trip, 5 runs ago. A repeat of that will be enough to win, to aid him today he fans the services of Ana Roper, lands on speed and gives us a huge sight at a price.

WELLINGTON

Race 5 | 11. Penciller

Has to overcome the wide draw but has show good early toe in his short career. Smart claim with Neale aboard and I expect him to be ridden with intent and prove hard to run down.

Race 8 | 6. Check Your Six

Big field and a fast run 1400m had me looking for a back marker in the final event. He’s always finished off well but hasn’t found the a fast race shape in sometime, retains Zac Waddick and gets his chance to rattle home today.
