BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)

MORNINGTON - Race 5 No.4 - A DIVA - Made a good one dig to beat her latest and beat rest clearly. She was 2nd-up 1300m-to-1600m too so assume fitter again.

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 4 No.1 - PLANTIFF - Drew car park fresh, back near tail widest yet ran over a good field, and, she was backed (off neat trial). Doubt 1400m any issue.

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

MORNINGTON - Rce 7 No.4 - BERELMONT - Back/ Wide no cover Vs pattern Flem yet kept closing. The run was very good. 3rd- Cafe Au Lait had just thrashed key rival Obvious also. Have to think 1600m will suit. Value here $7?

All Aged Stakes

Race 9 - G1 All Aged Stakes - WFA - 1400m

1 - 8 - ANGEL CAPITAL - Excuses fresh. Was building when luck ran out in G1 Newmarket then bit stiff and strong home when not in A-ground latest. Has been looking for 1400m for a month to my eye. Gets his G1 chance.

2 - 2 - JIMMYSSTAR - Excuses fresh but Angel Capital ran by him. Excuses latest when tardy/ wide.. He still hit line late. He was simply too good for Angel Capital when they clashed at 1400m end of last prep in Orr Stks.

3 - 11 - FANGIRL - Resumes. Star mare who has produced some outstanding fresh wins. Will get dry ground she loves here. Can win.

4 - 1 - GIGA KICK - Just slight baulk may have been costly in TJ but he was super either way. Has been too 1400m once.. He won! He goes in for sure.

5 - 14 - BEIWACHT - Beat all-bar Joliestar in Cant Stks then faded last time but that was 1500m and soft track. Track record holder at 1400m Rand.
