Adam Simpson and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 5 of 2026.
Simpson and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.
The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.
See the seedings below:
1 - Brisbane
"I’m pretty happy with my top four.”
2 - Hawthorn
3 - Fremantle
4 - Sydney
"I’ve got Sydney at four after their bye with wins against the Eagles and now the Suns.”
1 - Brisbane
“Brisbane are one for the foreseeable future. I’m pretty happy with my top four too.”
2 - Hawthorn
"Hawthorn won the stay-in game against the Bulldogs, so they sit nicely at number two.
3 - Sydney
4 - Geelong
“I've got a nice little play-in game happening now with Geelong and the Bulldogs for four.
“Geelong hold it, but the Bulldogs can displace them on Friday night.
“Fremantle have to beat one of the teams in contention for me… there’s a game they have against the Bulldogs coming up. They have to wait their turn. I like play-in and play-out games.
"The Dockers are the flaw in my seedings. If I put them in and they lose to Collingwood, I'll kick myself from here to Christmas, so I'm not doing it for the moment."
