Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Geelong & Canterbury in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

GEELONG

Race 6 | 3. Brutalina

This is much easier than last start and scratchings make it even more so. Drawn to go control it from gate one and the 3kg claim will help. Stays at the 1300m (25) which sees her out. She jumped out really well since last start so fitness wont be an issue $2.40 is as short as you want but I think she is too classy for this group.

Race 7 | 12. Justique

Scratching of Delta Sky has me confident this girl will be too good. Her coming into gate seven is a big plus as I'm certain that Craig Williams will go forward which is how she won here on debut. She went back last start which has been hard to do at Sandown recently and her run was full of merit anyway. Jock stays on which I like and up in trip is a win. This is also a smidge easier than last start and she will be too good!

CANTERBURY

Race 1 | 3. Decalogue

Ran really well in the Tulloch where the form held up with SL running well in the Derby. Back a little in trip wont hurt with nearly a month off and he is drawn really well and probably leads. He has been placed here to break his maiden and he will do that. Scoop The Pool the only danger but even though he was ok at Newcastle he still got beat three. Decalogue will be too classy but is short so check the Sportsbet Feed for the multi I have him as the anchor.

Race 2 | 4. Events

Ran really well on debut when outside leader (and winner who then ran well in a BM72) and was a little starstruck when race was to be won but hit line well, so I expect her to improve on that today. She was drawn to be prominent last start as she is today. I expect her to lead and being back in trip cruise along at a nice speed where the flat spot doesn’t hit. Add in her experience and she will be very hard to beat!

Race 3 | 4. Karewau

This bloke comes out of that same race and even with scratchings today he is way over the odds! He hit the line so well on debut and another 50m (he gets it today) he runs second. JMac goes on and even in the small field I expect In A Tizzy (back from 1400m) to put enough speed in the race. He will improve from the race day experience and is ell over the odds at $17.

Race 4 | 6. Oso Spirited

Was great on debut and last start wasn’t bad a month between runs (with a trial) but looked ready for more distance. Gets that today from a perfect draw. RK will be able to go and control the race. Looks a bit better on paper with a toe in the ground but not that slow her. She has been OK in unsuitable race and trialled well on top of the ground. Wrathful is the danger and is another looking for the trip. Goes into the EQ but speed map has him spotting OS a start and that will be the difference.

Race 8 | 5. Blitzgal

Could not have been anymore impressive on debut and I have zero doubt she has the class to take the step here. A bunch of scratchings means her gate isn't as sticky now and she will simply follow Supermassive over and sit OSL. Back from 1400m means she will be able to handle any speed or take it up early and find her groove. Her win was very impressive and the horse she belted (In A Tizzy) goes around in R4 so we get a small guide. This race isn't dripping in cream and I think she has the talent!

David Taggart

GEELONG

Race 4 | 5. Soldier Boi

Was tipped out after competing in a very strong maiden on debut where form has held right up. Has won both his trials leading into this and take out the fav this is a very weak race. Most likely get back and run on.

CANTERBURY

Race 2 | 4. Events

Was great on debut bumping into a handy one in Hellabella who never disgraced herself next start in a 72. She should only improve and from pole get the run of the race.

Race 4 | 3. Cap Saint Martin

Hits this third up where he’s undefeated. He was good on his Australian debut and looked to have excuses second up. Deserves another chance.
