Sam Kerr will depart Chelsea at the end of the season.

The Matildas star has made the decision to leave the London club after more than six years in blue.

This weekend's clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge will be Kerr's final appearance as a Blue.

“When I reflect on my Chelsea career and doing it for the last time, I just feel happy,” said Kerr.

“Happy that it happened, and I feel so grateful to have played for this club for six years and won as many trophies as we could.”

A Chelsea statement read: “We thank Sam for her incredible contribution to our success on the pitch and sustained growth off it. We wish her all the best in the next chapter of her career.”

Kerr will leave Chelsea with the fourth most appearances in club history, currently 157. She has scored 115 goals which sits second behind Fran Kirby’s club record 116.

She is a five-time Women's Super League champion, and three-time FA Cup winner and League Cup winner with Chelsea.
