Cam Luke & Mick Gannon have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Caulfield Heath, Warwick Farm & Balaklava in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

CAULFIELD HEATH

Race 2 | 1. Our Brave Boy

Was really good on debut in a race that stood up well in particular with Gin Twist who went on to run well in better races. Trialled up well before that race and has done likewise here. Will get a wonderful run in transit sitting outside Rubare in the run. It looks like he has developed as he was a tad green and hit a flat spot on debut, if he knuckles down with the race day experience, he'll win. Should be fave!

Race 3 | 1. Rich Dottie

Traner took a swing in the Spring with her and she was a little outclassed but I do like following them back into easier races. RD fits that mould. She has jumped out well and drawn nice enough to be close enough. Calvary Girl will provide the speed from the gate and I expect her to be not far in following her over. The stable is flying and EP is riding very well herself and I like the 3kg claim and I think that will be the difference late.

Race 4 | 7. Glenfinnan

Badly needs a longer trip and blinkers based on his last couple. He gets both today. He probably hasn’t got to his best from this prep and he can find an excuse but today is a nice set up. Drawn perfect to stalk a decent speed, jockey in from and claiming so he is well weighted and the shorter turnaround helps him 4th up. Pula deserves to be fave but I think this bloke can give it a real shake!

Race 6 | 2. Gwen's Girl

Not sure she loved the track at the Bool even though she ran ok. Will love the firmer track and MB will go handle bars down and use the claim. Her form before the mini break was at this level and I imagine she will enjoy the Heath track. Open race but she has speed to burn and they will need to catch her to win.

WARWICK FARM

Race 3 | 7. Hello Captain

Went to the paddock a winner after half missing the quick but belting them at the Sunny Coast. Has trialled up really nicely and can sit and stalk the speed (start permitting) from that lovely gate. Has handled the toe into the ground and back a little in trip to kick off doesn’t hurt him. This is tougher than that winning race but the form has been decent behind him. Jmac goes on and with the expected maturity and development he will be hard to hold out!

Race 4 | 6. Mojave River

Comes out of the same race as the fave but I do think this girl has the most improvement to come. Blinkers go on here and she hit a flat spot which with a little more speed hopefully won't happen. She is better 3rd up and will be ready for a peak Aussie performance. Heavy track a little watch but I expect her to be very fit and hard to beat.

Race 5 | 8. So Suave

Finds a race here that’s easier and draws a gate that should mean he isn't 52 wide like at Bendigo. J Mac climbs aboard and he is fit as they can get him. Heavy track of no major concern and no major Heavy track from in the market (Just Flying probably best of the them and he wasn’t too bad last start in a good race)but otuside of that that, this isn't a race that is dripping in cream so if he stays at the same level as last start with luck he will win. 1 out in the quaddie!

Race 6 | 10. Heuristic

Don't go overboard but has trailed up well and he does love the slop! His last prep wasn’t too bad behind some decent horses (Golden Straand , Theblade , Carbonados ect) and that bodes well here. Goes well at 1100 an runs decently fresh albeit without winning. A bunch of scratchings has changed the complexation of this race but I think he can run well. No each way but use a more places feature as well as a little win bet!

Race 7 | 9. Passadena

If the inside isn't off, this bloke who is in form has a huge map advantage of the horses in the market. He has been on the Heavy before on debut and it was behind Royal Flare who I really like. He is a horse I think will love more trip and he gets it today. He is a big strong boy and he might even lead (like when breaking his maiden) or box seat. The win last star as stood up with Tuscany winning since. He will be hard to beat!

Mick Gannon

CAULFIELD HEATH

Race 7 | 4. Nearing Liberty

Three jumps outs off a spell and career peak, has him profiling to go to a new level first up. A two time first up winner, he draws two, maps to land top four in run and get every possible chance to win. He’s progressive enough to win a race like this.

WARWICK FARM

Race 4 | 3. Hovland

Ran a career peak first up and will only improve off that run. Relishes rain affected tracks and the mile. Lloyd sticks, should get to the best going and will give a sight.

Race 6 | 1. Glorious Moments

Smart type who ran time last prep. Returned with three trials, JMac was aboard in the last trial and sticks for this first-up tilt. Progressive type, who handles all conditions, should be winning this.

BALAKLAVA

Race 6 | 7. Harsh

Fifth up and nearing peak fitness, she’s building to a win and went oh so close last start. She can land closer in run here and finds a very winnable race.
