Brisbane’s Ben Hunt has called for the Broncos to lift their performance to help keep their finals hopes alive.

It’s been a disappointing month for the reigning premiers, who lost their last three matches by an average margin of 24 points heading into last week’s bye.

As a result, Brisbane has slid out of the eight and finds itself two games adrift from the 8th placed Knights.

With the pressure on them to lift, the 362-game player admitted their showings in recent times haven’t been good enough.

And with a clash against the Dragons, who are desperate to break their 15-game losing streak, Hunt has called on himself and his teammates to improve or risk not qualifying for finals.

“That's definitely been the messaging,” Hunt explained on SENQ Breakfast.

“You know, (it’s) the next man up and doesn't matter who you are, you gotta go out and do a job for the club.

“To be fair, we probably haven't done that the last month, we have missed the mark, and that's just not the guys that have been coming in, that's been, everyone.

“It's really time to pull our finger out, or we probably won't be playing finals footy.”

The Broncos play the Dragons this Sunday at Suncorp Stadium.

Kick-off takes place at 2pm AEST with SEN having live coverage of the match from 1pm through SEN League on SEN 1170 and Broncos Radio on SENQ. Both can be heard on the SEN app.
