Leading form analyst Mick Gannon from TheGreatTipOff and SENTrack & RSN has provided his best bets for Saturday's racing.

Gannon has taken a close look at Randwick.

Race 2 #12 Callistemon

Returned with plenty of merit first-up and looks ready to improve stepping out to a mile. She was spotting the leaders a significant start turning for home before working through traffic and closing strongly late, finishing much closer than it looked she would at the 400m.

She's already proven herself at this level and has a win over this course and distance on the board. With the benefit of that run under her belt and a favourable second-up profile, she should be able to settle a touch closer in transit. The give in the ground won't bother her and if she produces something near her peak, she's more than capable of causing an upset.

Race 7 #11 Lugh

Produced a quality performance when runner-up in the Big Dance behind Gringotts and Vivy Air, with that race continuing to stack up as a strong form reference. Headly Grange, who went on to claim Group 1 success, finished behind him that day which only strengthens the profile.

He's a horse that generally fires fresh, winning two of his three first-up attempts, and the booking of Nash Rawiller is another positive. From barrier seven he should land exactly where he wants to be and get every opportunity. With five wins from nine starts, he knows how to get the job done and looks ideally placed to make a winning return.

The favourite has a much tougher task from the draw and may be forced to work early, which makes Lugh the more appealing option at the current prices.
