Kane Cornes has officially labelled the Gold Coast Suns as the biggest sooks in the AFL.

Cornes couldn't help but notice Suns' players' reactions to free kicks against in Friday's loss to Hawthorn at home, despite the free-kick count finishing 22-17 in their favour.

Suns coach Damien Hardwick is well-known for venting his frustrations in press conferences, and Cornes has also called out club captain Noah Anderson for constantly complaining.

Cornes says that tidbit on Anderson has emanated out of Hawthorn's dressing room after playing against the Suns, and he wondered whether it could be a sign of deeper issues at the club, which has now lost its last four games.

"There's a lot of whinging out of the Gold Coast," Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.

"If you go and watch every time a free kick is paid, they now have the title of the biggest sooks in the league.

"We touched on it last week, and I think that has filtered down from the coach, who always complains about something.

"He wasn't as in the mood to complain as much after the Hawthorn loss, but they complain so much.

"It's come to my attention that Noah Anderson was sooking all night. That's the word out of the opposition that they played against.

"If the captain's sooking all night, if the coach is always sooking, if (Sam) Collins plays on and gets caught holding the ball stone-cold, and he's sooking... like Collins never used to sook.

"There's just something really off at Gold Coast."

SEN's Tom Morris revealed that he also heard about Anderson's constant complaining on Friday, being told to check on footage of his discussions with umpires throughout the contest.

Morris: "I heard this too.

"I was told, Kane, to go and look up footage today of Noah Anderson sooking after every single free kick that he gave up."

Cornes: "It's a systematic problem at the Gold Coast Footy Club. I think that's a big story to be covering.

"Hawthorn will say, 'How'd you find that out?', and I'll say, 'Well, you've got 23 players that play for the Hawthorn Football Club that are out on the field'."

The Suns won't have it easy this weekend as they head to Perth to face a red-hot Fremantle side that's won 13-straight games.
