With Dane Gagai set to play on for Brisbane in 2027, former Bronco Andrew McCullough believes he can add plenty of value to the side.
After playing 328 games across 16 seasons, the 2017 Wally Lewis Medallist was reportedly not offered a contract beyond this season by the Knights.
After speculation that 2026 might be his last year in the NRL, the 35-year-old has chosen to sign with the Broncos for 2027, seeing him return to the same club where he made his NRL debut in 2011.
He does so on a reported salary of $250,000.

Following the news of his impending arrival, the former Broncos hooker believes it's a great addition despite his age, given he is playing to near his best.
“To be honest, I think it's nearly his best footy he's been playing,” McCullough told SENQ Breakfast.
“He's been playing outstanding for Newcastle Knights. If you look at some of his stats and his output, it's actually been pretty good, considering what everyone may believe.
“Everyone jumps at numbers and the age, but I think he's actually playing outstanding footy for the Knights.
“He'll come in and do a job, and (at) $250,000, I think that's a good purchase.”
Gagai is currently averaging 117 run metres per game whilst scoring two tries from his 14 appearances.
The Broncos take on the Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.
Kick-off is at 8pm AEST.
