David Gately has provided his best bets for Flemington and Rosehill on Saturday.
See Gator's Game Plan below:
FLEMINGTON - Race 7 No.3 - AL DUCA - Forget Bendigo Mile miss when wide/ working. Was 7-weeks off into latest and took over long way out on strong speed yet only nailed late. Fitter? So tough/ genuine.
ROSEHILL - Race 4 No.1 - BIG RED TEQUILA - Good chasing smart Ice Kool fresh then very wide behind same horse 2nd-up yet kept closing on better day to be inside/ handy. 1100m no issue. To own sex. Keen.
FLEMINGTON - Race 8 No.9 - LUDLUM - Covered ground fresh Vs older horses and very good win beating horses like Showdown who easily tie in with key rivals here. He won maiden 2nd-up last prep very well off wide run. Wide race/ The overs $9?
Rosehill, Race 9 - Listed Winter Stks - 1400m
1 - 1 - GENERAL SALUTE - Excellent fresh from back Vs pattern in traffic, with weight. Early work latest in fast-run race and probably bit upside/down there. Beat all-bar Autumn Glow 3rd-up last prep. Gets another go.
2 - 4 - MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE - Backed heavy to win that Civic Stks and never looked like losing. Remains unbeaten (3 for 3) at 1400m. Up 3kg but very hard to beat.
3 - 15 - GLORIOUS MOMENTS - Top return with weight then very wide Vs pattern and very good 2nd-up. Great chase with weight latest and plummets to 53kg here. Can measure up.
4 - 7 - WHINCHAT - Set strong speed in that Civic Stks and beat all-bar Midnight Dynamite when only 2nd-up. 3kg swing helps. Pattern?
5 - 5 - COOL JAKEY - Yep, gave all that same Civic Stks and must have case… Beat Midnight Dynamite prior.
6 - 6 - MCHALE - Best closer that same key race and had race pattern against. He was only 1st-up there.
