Cam Luke, David Taggart & Miles Pfitzner have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Sandown, Warwick Farm, Grafton & Bunbury in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

SANDOWN

Race 3 | 1. Silent Shares

Comes out of a better race last start where she chased home DZ and Stylish albeit she has more weight today (claim helps). There isn't a huge amount of speed (Brutalina only obvious) so her going forward which she has done before I expect to see. 1400m is her jam and first time on the HT but loves soft so no major concern. Has ran ok only 4th up attempt and expect her to be very hard to beat! Best of the day in Melbourne.

Race 5 | 2. Nordic Strike

Has been decent in both runs this prep and the strength of is last start was proven Saturday in town (Electric Star/Behaviour)! He is enjoying the 1000m this prep and will have come on again. There is a little speed but not amazing so he will be able to control it from the gate or sit OSL (Saluted if jumps better LS) HT to his liking and while I have a couple others in the Q, I expect this bloke to go very close.

Race 7 | 9. Empress Of The Sun

I think JJ taking cover last start was the difference against NF and I don't think he does that today. He will let him roll in front and make sure CW can't control. This is the exact same race as last time but I think the weight swing, better gate and hindsight in tactics (biggest factor) will turn the tables today. One out in the quad! Give it strength!

WARWICK FARM

Race 4 | 6. Charleroi

Didn’t handle the messy race resuming and was a smidge flat footed when it mattered. Drawn better today to be a lot more forward in the run. Firmer track also should be a little more to his liking. Second up form doesn’t jump off the page but he is a 1600m specialist and that’s enough for me to suggest he will run very well and take a mountain of beating.

Race 5 | 2. Deep Pleasure

This girl might be the punting death of me this prep and again no gate but I do see a bit of speed early which will help her. The drying track is a win and her first crack at a mile which looks like she has been waiting for. She hasn’t had a huge amount of luck this prep and she needs some again today but the setup feels she can peak and I think she will be hard to hold out.

Race 6 | 8. Jarrito

Was good last start in a race that stood up on the weekend. Drawn perfectly to hit the ground running, find the rails and control. Firmer deck is another win as is the 1100m again. RK is a superstar and is in from (as always) and I expect her to have all the favours and be too strong back to this field. One out in the quad!

GRAFTON

Race 8 | 3. Autumn Miss

Good win last start when having to work early from a tough gate. Drawn lovely here to get to lead easier and NR is best in the business in keeping them gong late. She carries more weight but it’s the same level and I expect her to be hard to beat mainly due to the jockey. Firmer track again in her favour and I am one out in the quad!

David Taggart

SANDOWN

Race 7 | 9. Empress Of The Sun

Can turn the tables on Nearco Frod if she settles better than last start. In saying that she was a victim of a slow run race which was handed to NF and there is a stone difference weight after the JJ claim.

Race 8 | 1. He'll Rip

Won’t know himself dropping into this grade and he comes out of a hot form line beaten less than 1.5L behind Coeur Volante. Should get a gun run throughout out for the 3kg apprentice as he gets the blinkers on again.

WARWICK FARM

Race 2 | 3. Chanterelle

Smashed them in a recent trial which should be good enough to win this. Is on debut who did everything right in her trial hence the market support.

Race 3 | 3. Claudel

Is today the day for Claudel who steps up to the 1400? Will go forward and will have it all his way up front with Cosmora who he will use as a bunny. He did beat the fav/Stablemate Saloon Passage two runs back so should have him covered.

Race 4 | 4. Champagne Hero

Wasn’t disgraced first up as he always takes a run. Both his wins have been second up albeit in easier company but he does have ability hence starting fav in the G3 Gloaming last prep. Gets in well now with a claim.
