From the Gold Coast Suns' failure to make the finals to Essendon's disastrous on-field performances, Carlton's poor start to the season - counteracted by their hot back-end of the year, this year's ladder reads very differently to how many predicted before the season commenced.

With that in mind, SEN's Tom Morris has introduced The Disappointment Ladder, ranking every team from 1-18 based on how disappointing their 2026 season has been thus far.
