Campbell Brown

CANTERBURY MULTI

Race 2, No.7 Glissando
Race 4, No.6 Aethelwulf
Race 6, No.1 Snack Bar

($3.89 on Sportsbet)

MURRAY BRIDGE

Race 6 | 3. Nostryia

Placed in three of last four and stubby holder stays in saddle. Relishes soft ground back to 1000m and from barrier four will be given every chance.

DOOMBEN

Race 4 | 1. Flying Bat

Hit form with two big wins, in fact his Ballina win was over 11L. Boxed on well last start in a tougher race. Back to B65 with 3kg claiming apprentice. Will try to run them into the ground.

BELMONT

Race 2 | 5. Two Up Boom

Both runs back this prep have been good. Up in trip looks a huge tick, drawn well and Willie Pike jumps onboard.

HOBART

Race 5 | 5. Furneaux

Track and trip specialist. Loves the sting out of the ground and is always around the mark. Can turn the table on in the ocean carrying less weight than last time they met. Will go forward and make own luck.

Cam Luke

CANTERBURY

Race 1 | 8. Queen's Gamble

Had to go back resuming and savaged the lone really well. She is a big scopey filly and will enjoy more ground but today from that gate can squeeze forward and sit 1-1 in a rhythm. Think she'll enjoy a firmer track as well and TB sticking with her gives me the confidence she will break the maiden here before going to 1400.

Race 3 | 10. The Main Event (each-way)

Firmer track is the big positive for this bloke today. Never warmed up resuming (off 1 trial) and a bad gate. Drawn really nicely today to have an efficient run. Goes well 2nd up and staying at the 1100 I like with added fitness. Ran well in a highway before the spell (albeit beaten 7L) but this is easier. Well and truly over the odds and expect this horse to run well. Great each way play In an open race.

Race 4 | 8. Michelangelo (each-way)

I thought this bloke was actually OK in the QLD Derby and he has the residual fitness. Only had a short break and was pretty good resuming over 1800. Tired late but 11 day break works well here. Nicely drawn and can be prominent again in the first couple. Gets up a little in trip which works and a drying track would help. He finds a race that without the fave lacks major depth and the artist is well over the odds. Great each way play!

Race 5 | 2. Brown Sugar

Was In fine form then had a little crack at the Gosford Guineas which was end of prep. Has trailed up ok without setting world on fire but is drawn to totally control this race. 3kg claim will play a part as BS should cruise along in a groove on her lonesome. Raskol is the fit classy horse but maybe 1200 would be best with the firmer track helping BS slide a length of 2 away and be very hard to catch.

Race 7 | 11. Sister Daae

Always chases home nice horses. (Cherish Me, Cheval De Bois, Satono Jasmine) they have all gone on to do either win or run really well in better races since. Might not get as far bask as last start with a better gate and that will help but the speed (Concherio/Tenderize/King of Dragons/Doradus) will be on so if she does drift back, it wont hurt her chances. She is a miler as her 2 best runs have been in this distance rage (1550-1600) She gets in pretty well at the weights and Berry goes back on and that’s a plus. She is fit and had a nice prep and deserves a win and I think she can end the day with the money here.
