Brisbane Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy has spoken on the possibility of the reigning premiers signing Penrith Panthers prop Moses Leota.
With the Panthers facing a massive salary cap crunch at the end of the 2027 season, many of their stars will be able to test the open market from November 1.
One of those players has been Leota.
Having been allowed to speak with rival clubs ahead of the November 1 deadline, the 31-year-old has fielded plenty of offers from the open market, with News Corp reporting that 12 clubs were interested.

In recent days, the Broncos have emerged as a potential destination, with Leota's services being offered to the club who are in need of bolstering their front row.
When asked about the possibility of Leota donning the maroon and gold jersey, the Broncos CEO noted they're in the market for key players.
But believes it is unlikely the four-time premiership player will join the Broncos.
“There's a salary cap that we've gotta balance,” Donaghy told SEN’s Crunch Time NRL.
“For us, first and foremost, we feel very comfortable with the squad that we've got, but we know we need to go back into the market to get one or two key pieces to add to the puzzle, I suppose.
“We've got a pretty balanced list, I think at the moment. Our salary cap is in (a) good position.
“But does that mean you can go out and buy a high-priced player? We'll work through that in due course.
“Moses is certainly a quality player.

“Do I see him here? Most likely not.
“But we are in the market to bring in a few players to certainly complement the squad that we've got right now.”
After being the away team at Suncorp Stadium against the Dolphins, Brisbane will reclaim the home sheds for their Round 24 clash against the third-placed Warriors on Saturday night.
SEN will have live coverage of the match across SENQ, SEN Track Brisbane, SEN Track Atherton, Ingham, Rockhampton & Darling Downs and on the SEN app with Broncos Radio beginning at 7pm AEST for a 7:35pm kick-off.
