Adam Simpson and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 22 of 2026.

Simpson and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

See the seedings below:

SIMPSON

“I'm not going to lock this in for the rest of the year, but you're going to have to do a lot to prove me wrong.”

1 - Fremantle

2 - Brisbane

3 - Sydney

4 - Hawthorn

WHATELEY

1 - Fremantle

“Fremantle is our obvious one.”

2 - Brisbane

“Brisbane won that game to go to two. I've had that set up for weeks and very happy with how that panned out.”

3 - Hawthorn

“I'm not going to overreact.”

4 - Sydney

“I could do anything with four. I could have Melbourne on what we saw, I could have Carlton on their 10-2. Geelong had hold of fourth position.

“Sydney lost my play-in game a couple of weeks ago, so they are on the outside, but I feel like I'm going to have to correct that.

“I'm not an oversubscriber on Sydney. Their record against the teams at the top (isn't great). They have lost to Fremantle, Hawthorn, Brisbane, Adelaide and Geelong.

“But because their position is (what it is), Sydney at four.”
