RSN form analysts Nick & Trav Noonan has delivered us their horses to follow out of the Caulfield meeting from Saturday.

On RSN’s Correct Weight, the Noonan brothers dug into the meeting and found the top horses to keep an eye on moving forward.

See their horses to follow below:

Nick Noonan

Savoyard

“Race 1, Savoyard, the sectional star, so I think you want to be following him.

“Jumped out super leading in. Has got a real low handicap rating, he can just put away a race at his next start.”

“Savoyard is the real horse I want to be betting on next start.”

Darkbonee

“I’ve got to follow Darkbonee. I'll be chips in on him next start wherever he goes.”

Nick also tipped Darkbonee as a futures play for the Caulfield Cup.

Others

“I thought Recon was really good in the Regal Roller, and Persian Spirit I thought was really good in that race also.

Natural Fling is fairly obvious that you probably want to be on in her next run as well.

“I thought Federer was quite a good run in Race 2. Third-up next start, he might be ready to win. Nothing went right for him, so he might be one from the benchmark grade to stick with him.”

Wootton Verni, I gave a big tick to ahead of maybe a Caulfield Cup preparation. He was probably the eye catcher late in the Lawrence of the stayers.”

Trav Noonan

Savoyard

“He was the one that made the cut for me as well.”

“Savoyard, I'm going to regurgitate most of the things you just said, but he was very quick late.”

“He was sort of beaten for speed at 1100m there yesterday. He’s a horse who'll definitely get up in trip this campaign.

“He's got a great handicap rating, so they can head back to the midweeks with him.

“He's one that I definitely want to stamp as a horse to follow out of this Saturday meeting.”

Big Wigs

“I thought the performance of Big Wigs was quite good in the Vain Stakes.”

“I'd be happy enough to follow him in a similar type of race moving forward, even though I've got a bit of question mark on the overall format of the Vain, I thought he was quite good.”

Persian Spirit

“Persian Spirit is the other one. I thought he was really good there, first-up in the Regal Roller stakes up to 1400m.”

“Maybe even second-up in that Chautauqua Stakes would be probably a perfect race for him at Sandown, Group 3 level.

“He could even be a smoky in the Rupert Clarke down on the minimum weight.”

Darkbonee

“I think one was from Race 4 where we saw a pretty genuine tempo in the early stages, and the horse that was first-up here was Darkbonee."

“He was pretty well supported given that; he didn't really get out too far in the market. He ended up starting $5.50.

“I think that was always the query if you were backing him, thinking how far back is he going to get? Where's he at in terms of his preparation?

“He's probably ran right up to the market expectation, he just didn't get the win, but I think there's a win in him this campaign.

“If you look at some of his better form last time in, it was at 2000m. This was first-up over 1400m.

“When you look at some of his form too, he ran third to Saint George, where he laid in the whole straight at Flemington.

“I think he's open Saturday class, and at this time of the year, there's not a huge gap between open Saturday class stayers and that next level.

“So maybe they try and really get his rating up to win one of these big races to get into a Naturalism.

“Darkbonee, one of the horses to follow.”

See That Storm

“See That Storm smashed the clock in Race 3, I think he'll be another one that's suited rising in distance.”

“I think 2400m is where we’re going to see the best of him.

“I think the rating will be quite strong out of that race, so I want to follow him.”

Santa Barbara

“Santa Barbara out of Race 2, she was the other one where there was a big flashing light on her.”

Hotei Senshi

“I think up in distance, there's a win in him somewhere,” Nick stated.

“He can be well placed with his handicap rating, so I'm going to go with him as the horse to follow.”

Trav Noonan

Cosmic Crusader

“Cosmic Crusader, I just think you have to be very interested in him in the P.B. Lawrence in three weeks' time," exclaimed Trav.

“It's going to take a good performance to beat him off what he was able to do there yesterday in the Bletchingly.

“I'll make the statement, I think he'll definitely win a Group 1 this spring in Victoria. Whether it's the Memsie, whether it's the Underwood, whether it's the Makybe Diva, I think he'll definitely get one in the early part of the spring.

“He's a force for this upcoming Spring Carnival.”

Custom

“The other horse that I really want to follow out of Caulfield was Custom.”

“I just thought she was terrific winning that earlier event. I think it was the most complete performance of her career so far and I really want to stamp her.”

Butternut Princess

“She would be the other one who gets a mention," revealed Trav.

“Going up in trip, I think she can certainly be followed as well.”

Correct Weight can be heard on RSN from 9-11am every Sunday morning.
