Greg Alexander believes the Sea Eagles should be worried by their form dip as the club continues to fall down the ladder.
It’s been a rollercoaster season for Manly with Sea Eagles fans experiencing all the emotions in 2026.
The season started dismally at Brookvale, losing their first three games, resulting in Anthony Seibold being sacked, with Kieran Foran, six months after his retirement as a player, being appointed as interim coach.
Following his appointment, the Sea Eagles enjoyed a sugar hit under ‘Fozball ’, resulting in the club flying up the ladder, seeing the Kiwi appointed as their full-time coach.
But since being confirmed as the club’s permanent coach at the start of June, Foran has only won two matches from nine games, with many of the issues under Seibold re-emerging.
This has seen the Sea Eagles fall from the top four outside of the eight with a 22-0 loss against the Dolphins all but ending their hopes of making the finals.
When asked by Jimmy Smith on SEN’s Kick Off about whether there should be concerns around Manly’s style of play, the Panthers great was unsure about where the side is at.
Alexander: “How can you not be worried about what's happening at Manly?”
Smith: “What is it? Six straight losses?”
“And didn't fire a shot.”
Alexander: “Didn't look like competing against a side (in the Dolphins) that were off last week too, a little bit off.”
“They weren't there; they were just doing and Manly just could not (get going).”
The Sea Eagles will look to break their six-game losing streak this week when they travel to Newcastle to take on the Knights.
