SALE
Race 6 | 1. Mainmankash
He was really good last start in town but the big tick for me today is back to the 1000. There will be a fair bit of speed but he will be at the forefront of that, he has won at his only third up run, he is drawn perfectly, he loves getting the toe into the ground and this is easier than last start and he will appreciate all of that and more and get the job done.
Race 7 | 4. Crocodile
First run for the new stable after a pretty good prep last start where in the end he'd probably had enough and the results told light. He's run in the Australian Guineas is well and truly up to this obey it the tricky gate means he'll probably be back a little further than he traditionally likes. There should be some speed which will help. Superset, Diamond Indaruf and Midnight Devil all have early toe so that will help. He's a class horse and has jumped out well, toe into the ground as a plus and I expect him to run one very good race.
Race 9 | 1. Jewel Bay
The way this girl hit the line last start in town in a much tougher race when she had some momentum halted makes me think the step up in trip is a huge plus on a track more spacious and she'll enjoy. Nice gate where she'll be able to sit three pairs back, she loves the soft deck, the 3kg claim has her really well weighted in a race of this class and she is rock hard fit. I think she's going to be very hard to hold out.
MURTOA
Race 2 | 8. Ernie
Finally gets to 1600 metres and she looks like a horse who's going to enjoy every bit of the mile could find an excuse or two so far in this prep but this is by far the easiest race she's been in. Angland Lass (in the market at Sale)/ Mr Sioux (won yesterday easily) are two horses with ability and she chased them home last start. Needs to jump a bit better today to use the nice gate and sit a bit closer. As always got to handle the heavy track but if she does, she will take a lot of beating.
Race 4 | 8. She's Loaded
She was pretty good resuming at Bendigo and today stepping up to the 1100 metres can only be seen as a positive. She is the best of the horses that we've seen on race day and this is a little easier than it was last start. She is drawn perfectly to have run of the race and I think she will be very hard to beat albeit the fave (a debutante on debut) has trialled well.
Race 8 | 10. Miss Ellaneous
Has had the little freshen up since being disappointing at Bendigo but in saying that it was a tougher race. Stays at the 1200 which I like and is drawn well to be on speed and be put in the race a little? First time on the heavy track but as long as she handles it and I think she will she's most certainly got class on these.
MURWILLUMBAH
Race 3 | 6. Whiskey Miss
Now I know this is harder than what she dealt with last stop but honestly not too much harder. She was really impressive that day albeit against a bunch of limited horses but the way she went through the line makes me think getting back up in trip is perfect for her third up. Captain Eagle will ensure there's a little bit of speed so she'll be able to get cover and find her groove and if she does she'll be strong again late and be hard to hold out as I think she has improved from prep to prep.
Race 4 | 5. Lady Wardell
Was looking for the 1200 last start in a tougher race and gets it today with no weight on the back. Drawn perfectly to show early toe, loves the track, soft track is perfect and the 1200 metres is the wheelhouse. Runs well including a win third up and has the perfect set up today to deal with this field.
Race 7 | 2. Tenzing (each-way)
Another really good edition of the cup but this bloke I didn't think was too bad first up and he does run really well second up from a break. these country caps can have some speed so Buckets Moor from that perfect draw will allow the pace into the race and take his time stalking. No doubt is going to need to improve but race fitness normally does allow it to and this is easier than last start and is a great each way play at the overs.
SALE
Race 6 | 1. Mainmankash
Is on his home track which he fires at, he has speed to burn and he should run them off their legs here.
MURTOA
Race 8 | 9. Cosmic Charger
With John Allen on board will be improved from two runs in and right run it wins.
MURWILLUMBAH
Race 5 | 6. Hayley's Rocket
Hayley’s form is hard to fault and can handle this step up in grade, looked good in a tick over trial and can win again.
BEAUDESERT
Race 5 | 5. Kilonova
Should have every hope from the sweet draw, this appears to be easier than what he has been competitive in and can win this.
CANBERRA
Race 5 | 8. Sunburnt Country
Has a good record on the plastic and strong at the trip, should get every chance from gate one and is a good winning chance.
