“The Hardeman deal is done. So well done there.

“We had Jake Riccardi linked to North Melbourne too, I think, from memory here. He's the out-of-contract GWS forward.

“I don't think that's right.

“So North Melbourne, if they are interested in Jake Riccardi, they haven't communicated that to the people who count.”

Will North's Zane Duursma be traded to Melbourne?

“Yeah, that is accurate. He is every chance to get there.

“Out of contract, Pick 4, 2023. Lack of progress has frustrated North and him and almost bemused some other clubs.

“So Melbourne absolutely front of the queue here as that texter points out. They're actually red hot for him in 2023. He trained there for a bit. He played VFL there for a bit. They've long been fans. I think this is a really good chance of happening.”

“Okay, Cooper Harvey has not been told he won't be offered a contract, but also hasn't been given one either.

“He's in that awkward made-to-wait basket unfortunately for him.

“New role this year, potentially a high-possession half-back. He did show some promising signs.

“Ultimately it was only a seven-game season though so he might continue, but he's being made to wait.”

Jake Stringer continues to be linked to Collingwood

“Linked again to Collingwood. This is deja vu for a lot of people because it happened when he left Essendon. Collingwood were not interested then, GWS were.

“Collingwood have been linked again. Now, it's not a flat no from Collingwood. I think it's fair to say the love though being shown from the Stringer camp in joining the Pies has not exactly been reciprocated by the Pies towards the player.

“So it's not a no officially at the moment, highly unlikely though I'd say.”

Kieren Briggs coming to Richmond - what does it mean for Toby Nankervis?

“Cal Twomey reported this yesterday, certain to join Richmond after announcing that he was leaving the Giants, part of the exodus at the Giants on-field.

“So he's an unrestricted free agent, four-year deal from the Tigers. The Tigers did come for Briggs' teammate Nick Madden before Nick re-signed.

“They also went for Bailey Williams before Bailey re-signed.

“Now for me, all eyes here now on the established No.1 ruck at Punt Road, and that's Toby Nankervis, over the next 12 months.

“Toby's out of contract at the end of next season. Personally, I would be very surprised if after that Richmond deal expires that Toby Nankervis isn't among the initial experienced player intake at the Devils.

“I'd say that's a good chance of happening. So he just finishes off in his home state after a glorious stint at Punt Road. That would make a lot of sense.”
