North Melbourne meet with newly-signed Geelong assistant

Newly-signed Geelong assistant Corey Enright has met with North Melbourne as the Kangaroos continue their search for the club's next head coach.

Despite leaving St Kilda to join his former club, Enright met with North GM Todd Viney this morning as he continues to explore the possibility of transitioning into senior coaching.

The highly-regarded assistant left the Saints despite being reportedly in line to take the top role from Ross Lyon at the conclusion of his tenure.

As SEN's Tom Morris has reported, Enright's move to Geelong will not hinder his drive to move into a senior position.

Viney has continued his tour, having reportedly met with another Geelong assistant in Nathan Buckley yesterday.

The meeting between Enright and the Roos supports Sam Edmund's report that North Melbourne aren't overly eager to explore a second-time head coach, prioritising first-timers as they look to replace Alastair Clarkson.

After both Adam Simpson and John Longmire opted against exploring the vacant role, Nathan Buckley remains the only tenured head coach in the running for the role.
