Stumps & Bumps: India kicks out of the three count... barely

India were given a major scare last week in a one-off match against Japan, before winning by just two runs at the Sano International Cricket Ground, with the hosts restricting the T20 World Champions to 4/32 in a rain-reduced five over a side match.

India won the toss and opted to bat and but were tied down by Japan bowling attack with Charlie Hara-Hinze the standout bowler with 2/17 dismissing opener Abhishek Sharma for a first ball duck.

"Credit to the Japanese bowlers. I was very impressed with everything they did and at one point they had India 3 for 14 and eventually it came down to that dramatic last over." said SEN Cricket's Bharat Sundaresan who compared India's bout with the minnows Japan to a famous Royal Rumble moment.

"This match was very much like Maven versus The Undertaker. If Japan had pulled it off, that look on Undertaker's face as he's tossed over the ropes is exactly the look you'd have seen on every Indian cricketer's face."

The Undertaker is in disbelief after being elimated.

In 2002 Maven, a winner of the reality TV show 'Tough Enough' where the prize was a WWE contract, shocked the wrestling world by eliminating The Undertaker in one of the most iconic moments in the 39 year history of the match.

Japan vs India scorecard: India 32/4 in 5 overs (Shreyas Iyer 16; Charlie Hara-Hinze 2/17) beat Japan 30/3 in 5 overs (Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming 12; Washington Sundar 2/13) by two runs.
