Race 5 Special Conditions 1400m

5 - 3 - 6 - 2

Navy Dreams finished 2nd fresh up for a new stable at the track and trip late last month. Despite still holding maiden status he has been a very consistent galloper. In his 14-start career he has only lined up in maiden grade on 4 occasions despite being eligible. He produced the best sectionals of the race last start and was taking ground off the winner. He has drawn well and should be able to settle a little bit closer in this. Performer had a few excuses at Waverley last start and can bounce back here.

Race 7 BM75 1200m

Golden Wings has been consistent; in 8 race day outings he has produced 3 wins and 3 placings. He was a comfortable winner at Ellerslie over 1200m fresh up, dictating terms in front. Drawn out but has the speed to work across the field. Hidden Achievement is the interesting runner here and could easily take this out if he produces his best fresh up. The former Chris Waller trained galloper is having his first run for the Marsh barn, his CV reads well, G1 placed in the JJ Atkins as a two-year-old and competitive in a Hawkesbury Guineas finishing behind Skyhook at 3.

Race 10 BM75 1600m

3 - 6 - 12 - 7

Coulthard made a good return at Trentham last start, finishing 2nd over the 1400m trip. He was in front a long way out and was caught in the last few strides. He has been a frustrating galloper at times, winning two from 17 but finishing runner-up on 7 occasions. He strips fitter here and the step up to a mile suits (both race day wins came at 1600m). Origin Of Love is well credentialed, a winner previously at G2 level over 1600m, she brings the best figures into this race. Unlucky not to have won last start and lines up third up this preparation. Peaks.
