Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has continued its strong momentum in Australia's podcast market, placing a record 19 titles inside Australia's Top 300 Podcasts in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results, while retaining its position as the nation's number one sports podcast network.
The September result marks the first time SEN has featured 19 podcasts in the Top 300, up from 18 in August, further reinforcing the breadth of the network's sports audio offering and its connection with audiences across Australia.
The latest rankings follow SEN's record-breaking September podcast performance, which saw the network surpass one million monthly unique listeners for the first time in its history, reaching 1.045 million listeners across its portfolio.
SEN also generated 4.4 million podcast downloads during September, up 12 per cent on August and its strongest monthly download result of 2026, according to Megaphone reporting.
Headlining the latest Ranker results was SEN Breakfast, which retained its position as Australia's number one sports podcast, number one sports radio podcast and number one breakfast radio podcast, climbing two places to number five in the overall national standings.
SEN Breakfast – which features Fireball with Kane and Kingy (with Kane Cornes and David King) on Mondays and Fridays, and Breakfast with Garry & Tim (with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson) from Tuesday to Thursday – recorded 456,417 listeners and 1,332,357 downloads during September.
The latest Ranker also saw AFL Trade Radio return to the Top 300 at number 115, reflecting strong audience interest in the AFL player movement period, while AFL Nation climbed 31 places to number 267.
Several other SEN programs recorded significant improvements, with Whateley (with Gerard Whateley) rising five places to number 33, Giddy Up with Gareth Hall climbing 26 places to number 82, and The Sounding Board (with Craig Hutchison and Damian Barrett) moving up 16 places to number 86.
SEN's national footprint was again reflected across the rankings, with programs produced across Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia featuring in the Top 300.
SEN WA's offerings continued their strong performance, with SEN WA Breakfast (with Tim Gossage, Scott Cummings and Peter Bell) climbing 33 places to number 184 and Mornings with Mark Duffield rising 17 places to number 222, while Giddy Up with Gareth Hall retained its position as Australia's leading dedicated racing podcast in the rankings.
The results highlight the continued appetite for SEN's sports news, interviews, commentary and analysis, with audiences increasingly engaging with their favourite programs live and on demand across the network's growing digital platforms.
SEN's Group Radio Director, Sam Thompson, said the latest results reflected the strength of the network's content offering and the connection SEN's talent has built with sports fans across the country.
"To have a record 19 podcasts inside Australia's Top 300, while also surpassing one million unique monthly podcast listeners for the first time, is an outstanding result for SEN and a tremendous reflection of the work being done across our network," Thompson said.
"These results demonstrate the strength and depth of our content offering, and the appetite among Australian sports fans for trusted voices, expert analysis and compelling conversations.
"It's particularly pleasing to see SEN Breakfast continue as the nation's number one sports podcast and climb into the top five podcasts nationally. To achieve that alongside strong performances across our AFL, rugby league, racing and broader sports programming is a fantastic endorsement of our talent and content teams.
"The return of AFL Trade Radio to the rankings, along with the continued growth of programs across our national network, highlights the important role our podcasts play in keeping fans connected to the biggest stories in sport.
"With a record 1.045 million unique monthly listeners and 4.4 million downloads in September, we're seeing more Australians than ever choosing to engage with SEN's content on demand.
"Our focus remains on delivering the best sports content across every platform, giving fans the opportunity to listen, watch and engage with the sports and personalities they love, whenever and wherever they choose."
