Essendon champion Tim Watson believes the Bombers’ electric ball movement last night opened up avenues for Jake Stringer to display his dangerous abilities in the forward 50.
Stringer kicked three goals in the first quarter to ignite a damaging Bombers outfit, as they ran away 28-point winners over West Coast in Perth.
According to Watson, the way John Worsfold’s men attacked through the middle of the ground gave Stringer opportunities to showcase his talent.

“Forwards rely on flow and supply of the ball,” he told SEN Breakfast.
“If you’re playing in a certain way where you’re getting the ball in quickly, you bring your forwards into the game.
“Somebody like a Stringer is a very very good player. At the Bulldogs, and maybe he had other issues off the field, but the fact of the matter is, the way they played made it very difficult for him to be a really important player.”
Stringer’s three-goal effort continues a strong block of form for the offseason recruit, who has collected 22 and 29 disposals in his previous two outings.
