Is this a left-field way for clubs to lure Shiel?

2018-08-29T08:30+10:00

Tim Watson has explained a left-field idea for clubs to get in prime position to secure GWS midfielder Dylan Shiel.

When asked to get creative about how a team could lure Shiel to their club, Watson linked former AFL coach Mark Williams to the situation.

SEN Breakfast with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson can be heard Monday-Friday 6-9am, and you can subscribe to the podcast here.

“Dylan Shiel’s partner is Choco Williams’ daughter,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.

“I would think that he would have maybe a little bit of influence there, somehow, you would think so.

“I would be maybe dangling a potential carrot to him as well to get him into the fold.

“If you’re asking me to be creative and laterally, that’s what I’m going to be.

“Maybe get him in somehow and then see if you can get him to influence Dylan somehow.”

Shiel is under contract at the Giants until the end of 2019, but rumours indicate he may be heading back to Victoria this offseason.
