Back for another year, the SEN.com.au team gives you an insight into how every game will play out across the weekend.

Labelling something a ‘certainty’ in any sport is fraught with danger.

But we’ll attempt to find some anyway.

Here is what we consider certainties for the Round 14 Friday night clash between Brisbane and St Kilda.

Brisbane

Dunkley 20+ disposals

Josh Dunkley has picked up 20 or more disposals in every game so far this season.

While he got 19 the last time the Lions faced the Saints, he should easily clear that marker on Friday, particularly with Marcus Windhager set to tag Lachie Neale.

With Neale most likely tied up, Dunkley will have plenty of opportunities to get his hands to it at stoppages and could roam with relative freedom.

25+ is probably a likely marker for him as well to reach in this one given he’s reached that figure in two of his last three games.

Cameron to kick a goal

Brisbane small forward Charlie Cameron hasn’t been at his dominant best in 2024 but has still kicked 18 goals from 12 games.

He’s also kicked nine of those from his five games at the Gabba at close to two a game.

He kicked two goals last time the Lions faced the Saints as well and has goaled in each of his last four appearances against St Kilda.

Book him in for one on Friday night.

St Kilda

Schoenmaker to have 15+ disposals

There’s a big boom on this draft slider and he should slot straight into the Saints’ distribution mix off half-back on Friday night.

Arie Schoenmaker boasts a left foot kick that goes for days and would expect to play a similar role to Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, who will miss the clash with Brisbane for personal reasons.

Wanganeen-Milera’s role has seen him average 26 touches a game in 2024, while Schoenmaker has had at least 20 touches in six of his seven VFL games. On five occasions, he’s had more than 26 touches.

Expect the 19-year-old to be particularly involved in his debut game, especially if Brisbane gets on top.

Clark for 15+ touches, 5+ tackles and 4+ clearances

Hunter Clark has played two games since returning from injury, impressing on both occasions in important wins for the Saints.

A notoriously classy player who has had an interrupted career, Clark is now 25 and has won plenty of hard ball in Rounds 12 and 13.

Used primarily as another on-baller in the Saints’ midfield mix, expect Clark to continue building in his return and his impact to grow.

He’s had a combined 35 disposals, 18 tackles and nine clearances in his last two AFL matches.
