The NSW Blues have continued their impressive winning ways at the MCG with a dominant 38-18 win over the Queensland Maroons in Game II of the 2024 State of Origin series.

On the heels of the disappointing Game I loss, the Blues made a handful of key changes to the side for this clash and looked explosive in attack as a result. The Blues came out of the blocks firing and put on a record-setting 32 points in the first half to all but seal the result before the break.

Tries to Liam Martin, Latrell Mitchell and doubles to Zac Lomax and Brian To’o gave the Blues the commanding lead as the Maroons were left wondering what went wrong.

As tempers began to flare in the second half, the Maroons began to show signs of life and gradually clawed their way back into the contest.

Tries to Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Jeremiah Nanai and Murray Taulagi helped the cause but a late strike by Dylan Edwards ensured the convincing win.

After an outstanding effort leading his side in attack, Mitchell Moses was named the man of the match.

The Blues will head to Brisbane and attempt to complete a surreal comeback in the series decider on July 17th.
