Gold Coast Titans veteran Kieran Foran has officially confirmed his future in the NRL after signing a one-year deal to stay on the Sunshine Coast until at least the end of 2025.
Foran has had a rejuvenated season with the Titans in 2024, remaining relatively injury-free to lead his side from a bitterly disappointing start to the year.
Many believed that 2024 would be Foran’s last year as a professional but with a young Titans squad needing senior leadership, the premiership-winning halfback decided to go around one more time.
Reflecting on his decision, Foran admitted his health and fitness were the main priorities when negotiating the deal but didn’t hide his joy in the announcement.
“At the end of the day it was going to come down whether physically I felt good enough to roll around again and secondly was it going to benefit the club to keep me on again,” Foran told SEN 1170 Sportsday.
“We came to that conclusion that it was going to benefit both parties to extend for another 12 months.
“Really stoked to get it done and just pumped to be a part of it for another year.”
