SEN SA The Run Home host Kym Dillon has provided a couple of trade updates regarding players that he thinks could be on the move this off-season.

The first player mentioned by Dillon was Essendon’s Dylan Shiel and the footy broadcaster believes St Kilda is interested in his services.

The 31-year-old Don has played just three games this season as he was out of favour earlier this year but has played the last two games at senior level, averaging 27 touches a game across the last fortnight.

With one year remaining on his long-term deal that brought him to the Bombers, Dillon thinks that Shiel would be a great pick up for a club like the Saints, particularly if Essendon pays some of his salary.

“I know I brought up Dylan Shiel, I believe St Kilda is into him,” Dillon SEN SA The Run Home.

“I understand that the youth is the future, but I’m a firm believer that it takes all kinds to get the formula right.

“Dylan Shiel will be a good pick-up for someone, especially if Essendon pick up some of his salary.

“I think it’s a left-field selection that should be looked at.”

Another player that Dillon thinks could be on the move is Western Bulldog Riley Garcia.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at season’s end and Dillon thinks that Port Adelaide is having a look at him.

“The other one that everyone is talking about now is a lad called Riley Garcia,” Dillon said.

“I believe Port is having a look at him, he’s a lad from Western Australia and he’s been killing it in the VFL.

“He’s had his injuries, but watch his highlights, he can play.”

Garcia has played nine AFL games in 2024 and is averaging 15.4 disposals and 2.4 inside 50s. He was the unused substitute in the Bulldogs’ Round 18 win over Carlton.
