King and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 23, 2024

David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 23 of the 2024 AFL season.

King and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

KING

1 - Sydney

“I'm sticking with the Swans,” King said.

“Given what we've seen from the midfield spiking … I’m confident in them.”

2 - GWS

“I’ve got the Giants at two, I think they’re playing great footy.

“They know their product. They're in such good form and they’re in such unison at the moment.”

3 – Western Bulldogs

“I'm going with the Dogs.

“You could put money on the Dogs to win the flag, but they could this week and you lose your money before the finals even start.

“But they are the number one profile in the comp right now.”

4 - Brisbane

“I've scribbled and crossed out three teams here.

“I'm putting Brisbane at four on blind faith that the talent will get rolling and that the last couple of weeks will sting.”

WHATELEY

1 - Hawthorn

“I’ve got Hawthorn at one,” Whateley said.

“They're playing the best footy that dates back to May.

“I so enjoyed their first 25 minutes against Richmond, they just don't disappoint.”

2 – Western Bulldogs

“I've got the Bulldogs at two.

“I think their footy over a couple of months is hard to go past.”

3 - GWS

“I’ve got the Giants at three.

“I love what they're doing, they’re building ominously.”

4 - Sydney

“I've got Sydney at four.

“They're in hold mode, so I don't take a whole lot at face value at the moment.

“They've been waiting for the finals for forever and they're still waiting.”
