Your Home of Sport, In your Hand
Back for another year, the SEN.com.au team gives you an insight into how every game will play out across the weekend.
Labelling something a ‘certainty’ in any sport is fraught with danger.
But we’ll attempt to find some anyway.
Here is what we consider certainties for the Preliminary Final between Geelong and Brisbane
Cameron to kick 2+ goals
Jeremy Cameron has been in fine goal kicking form in recent weeks.
He has helped himself to 13 goals across the last two weeks, most recently kicking four in the dominant Qualifying final win over Port Adelaide.
He's also kicked multiple goals in 10 of his last 12 games.
Cameron was held goalless by the Lions earlier this season and has kicked more than two goals against Brisbane on just one occasion in five attempts in a Geelong jumper.
But the Cats will need him to step up on the big stage and he should deliver with at least two majors as they go after a third Grand Final appearance in five seasons.
__Dangerfield to have 20+ disposals __
Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield has been back to his powerful best over the last few months.
He has hit the 20-disposal mark in his last five games, timing his run of form to perfection which has coincided with another Prelim appearance for the Cats.
‘Danger’ has picked up 20 touches in his last seven finals and we expect that streak to continue.
We’re siding with Geelong’s experienced pair to contribute strongly at the MCG on Saturday.

Cameron to kick 2+ goals
Charlie Cameron has had a slightly down season, averaging his lowest goals per game since 2020 - a year that featured shorter quarters.
Despite this, Cameron has kicked multiple goals in nine of his last 12 matches. He has also kicked multiple goals in eight of his last 10 finals.
He has also managed to kick multiple goals in the last two weeks even though his overall impact on the game has been questionable.
Expect him to bounce back and cover the 2+ goal mark in Saturday's Prelim against the Cats.
__Dunkley to have 25+ disposals __
Josh Dunkley is averaging 25.4 touches per game, which is his equal second-highest average across a season.
When the two sides faced each other in Round 6 this season, the midfielder recorded 26 disposals. Additionally, in their matchup before that, he had the most disposals on the ground with 27.
Dunkley has also recorded 25 disposals or more in six of his last seven games at the MCG.
In last Saturday night's Semi Final, GWS effectively tagged Brisbane superstar Lachie Neale, Geelong might deploy a similar tactic which could free up Dunkley.
Expect Dunkley to record at least 25 disposals as the Lions look to return to the last Saturday of September for a second straight season.
