Josh Jenkins has outlined Geelong’s biggest hits and misses from the last five years of drafting and recruiting players.
The former Adelaide Crows forward will assess each of the 18 clubs on AFL Trade Radio and provide what he believes have been the hits and misses when it comes to player acquisition over the last half decade.
Read his thoughts on the Cats below:
“The big hit for them has to be Tyson Stengle as a delisted free agent,” Jenkins told The Late Trade.
“He comes in for nothing and he delivers an All-Australian, premiership and 126 goals in three seasons if you don't mind.
“He's got a lot more footy ahead of him. He's only 25 years of age.”
“The big miss had to be Jack Steven and Josh Jenkins in the 2019 trade period,” Jenkins added.
“But overall I'll give them a B+ because what they've done has been fantastic for the most part.
“The Geelong summary is that they’re always looking for a way to keep competing and they usually find one through whatever means they can.”
