Nathan Buckley and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 8 of the 2025 AFL season.

Buckley and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

See the seedings below:

BUCKLEY

1 - Collingwood

“I'm keeping Collingwood at one,” Buckley said.

“Jeremy Howe didn't play … which I think was about five-day break (coming up) and there was a little bit about management for next week in their selection (against Geelong).

“I’m not saying that they were a soft kill because of that, but I think that there's enough reason just to leave them where they are and see how next week pans out.”

2 - Brisbane

3 - Geelong

“I loved Geelong's performance. I thought it was huge.

“Dangerfield keeps going. The way they were able to impose their game style and adjust the game to their favour was excellent."

4 - Western Bulldogs

“I've got the Dogs at four.

“I think that they've franked their seeding and I think that they are playing the type of football that can challenge.

“I they are playing this footy in September, they can win finals. That's why they're there.”

WHATELEY

1 - Brisbane

“Brisbane regain the number 1 seeding,” Whateley said.

“They just walked out and went, ‘Nah little brother, cop this’.”

2 – Western Bulldogs

“Since the Bulldogs were at three, I'm putting them up to two.

“I'm utterly compelled by what the Bulldogs are doing right now.”

3 - Collingwood

“I'm slipping Collingwood from one to three.”

4 - Geelong
