Luke Beveridge has made it vehemently clear that Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is still a Western Bulldogs player.
It has been reported that the troubled forward would like to play for the Sydney Swans next year and beyond as he aims to revitalise his career.
However, Beveridge says that the 23-year-old is a Dogs player and that any speculation should not be taken too seriously.
“Just take any speculation in regards to any player with a grain of salt, that's the way we approach it,” Beveridge told reporters on Wednesday.
“He's our player.
“We'll do our best to continue to look at what's right for him and look after him.
“I've got no thoughts that he won't be here next year.”
It was reported on Tuesday that Ugle-Hagan wants to play for the Swans.
Channel 9 journalist and SEN regular Tom Morris said the troubled forward is eager to reinvigorate his flailing AFL career in Sydney.
Ugle-Hagan has not played for the Dogs in 2025 as he deals with personal issues and has recently spent time receiving treatment and stepping up his fitness training on the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
He is contracted with the Dogs until 2026, so a trade would need to be orchestrated, but he wants to continue his career in red and white, according to Morris.
“The Western Bulldog are weighing up what they do next with him,” Morris said on Channel 9’s Footy Classified.
“My understanding is that Jamarra has told people close to him that he’d like to play for the Sydney Swans next year in a perfect world.
“Whether that takes place or not, whether the Swans are keen, I’m not sure. The Dogs would have to trade him because of course he’s contracted.
“But that is good to see (that he’s back training).”
With one word Ugle-Hagan sent social media into a frenzy with fans convinced the troubled Bulldog is preparing to make a return to footy.
Ugle-Hagan, who is currently on an indefinite break from his AFL career as he deals with unspecified personal issues, posted a black and white video compilation of himself boxing, training and running on his personal 'TikTok' page.
Below the video one fan commented “please come back” to which the former No.1 draft pick replied “coming x”.

Last month it was reported that Ugle-Hagan had checked himself into a health retreat out of Victoria as he looked to save his football career.
Having not featured for the Bulldogs since the 2024 season, Ugle-Hagan took a indefinite leave of absence after weeks of speculation over his future.
Sporadically at training, the 23-year-old had faced weeks of criticism for his constant use of social media, particularly the use of his personal Instagram account.
From vision of himself out partying to a crude profile photo citing Nick Riewoldt, Ugle-Hagan used his Instagram as a tool for expression through his time out of the game.
His future and behaviour was dominating media coverage to a near farcical point.
While it remains to be seen if Ugle-Hagan will play this season or if his future is with the Bulldogs, the latest post on his social media will be welcomed by fans.
