Tim Taranto has won the Jack Dyer Medal as Richmond’s best and fairest for 2025.
The 27-year-old Tigers midfielder polled 47 votes to claim his second B&F in three seasons since joining the club from GWS.
It was another stellar season for Taranto who also polled 20 votes in the Brownlow Medal. He now has three club B&Fs to his name after winning the Kevin Sheedy Medal at the Giants in 2019.
Taranto edged out gun defender Nick Vlastuin (44) who also finished second to Daniel Rioli last year. The ever-reliable Vlastuin now has five top-four finishes to his name.
Jacob Hopper, who came across with Taranto from the Giants prior to 2023, finished third on 40 votes.
In fourth was underrated key defender Ben Miller (33), who bounced from ninth last year to claim a career-best result.
Rounding out the top five was electric small forward Seth Campbell and inspirational captain Toby Nankervis in equal fifth (32).
Richmond’s voting system rates all players in the 23 from 0-5 based on their overall performance.
Other award winners on the night included last year’s no.1 draft pick Sam Lalor who won the Bill Cosgrove/Harry Jenkins Best First Year Player Award
Campbell, at 20 years of age, was crowned Michael Roach Medallist as leading goal kicker, much-loved defender Nathan Broad won his third straight player-voted Francis Bourke Award and Mykelti Lefau took out the David Mandie Community Award.
