Featuring Fireball with Kane and Kingy (with Kane Cornes and David King) on Mondays and Fridays, and Breakfast with Garry and Tim (hosted by Garry Lyon and Tim Watson) from Tuesday to Thursday, SEN Breakfast continues to dominate the national podcast landscape, attracting 348,859 unique listeners and achieving 1,322,287 downloads in September alone.
SEN Breakfast outperformed some of the biggest names in the industry, including Kyle and Jackie O (ARN/iHeart Radio), Ben Fordham Live (2GB), Radio National Breakfast (ABC), Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie (NOVA Entertainment) and 3AW Breakfast with Ross and Russel (Nine Radio).
It was a record month for Sports Entertainment Network’s (SEN) podcasts, which had 922,892 unique listeners (up 13% month-on-month) and 4,624,330 downloads (up 17% month-on-month). SEN-produced podcasts made up 27% of all sporting podcasts in this month’s podcast ranker release, solidifying the network’s position as Australia’s leading sports audio platform.
Overall, SEN Breakfast was the #10 Australian-made podcast, across all categories, with SEN having a total of 18 podcasts in the ranker; including Whateley (with Gerard Whateley), The Sounding Board (with Craig Hutchison and Damian Barrett), Sportsday, Giddy Up with Gareth Hall, AFL Trade Radio, The Run Home with Joel & Fletch (with Joel Caine and Bryan Fletcher), Crunch Time, Breakfast with Vossy & Brandy (with Andrew Voss and Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander), Morning Glory with Matty Johns at #228, and SEN Afternoons.
SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, said he was thrilled that his network remained the industry leaders in producing sports programming podcasts.
“We’re incredibly proud of the SEN Breakfast team and the connection they’ve built with audiences across the country. To be #1 in such a competitive field is a testament to the talent, authenticity and passion they bring to the mic every morning. This result also reflects the growing appetite for sports-led conversation and analysis in the podcast space.”
