The Sydney Roosters have confirmed the signing of veteran Daly Cherry-Evans for the 2026 season.
The 36-year-old informed the Manly Sea Eagles in early 2025 of his decision to make his 15th season at the club his last.
Cherry-Evans played 352 games for manly from 2011 which included a Premiership win in his debut season. Cherry-Evans also represented Queensland on 26 occasions including as captain and had 21 appearances for the Kangaroos.
The Roosters confirmed the long-rumoured signing on Friday morning with coach Trent Robinson saying in a statement; “Daly’s experience and understanding of the game will be a strong addition to our group.
“We are excited to welcome him to the Roosters.
“I’m looking forward to working with him.”
The club confirmed that Cherry-Evans will join the Roosters later this month to prepare for pre-season.
