The wild weather has continued to affect the AFL's Community Series, with Richmond's match at Mars Stadium against the Dees being ended early following several lighting delays.

The two sides got three minutes in before being taken off the field for a suspension of play following severe weather in Ballarat.

Despite being on the field for only three minutes, there was still some unfortunate news.

2024 Mid-Season draftee Luker Kentfield would need help from the club's medical staff to come off the field after an awkward landing while trying to take a mark.

Melbourne would be in the lead by six points with Harvey Langford kicking the goal.

After 35 minutes in delay, play would resume with the Dees would continue to build on their opening goal leading throughout the first and second quarters.

But during the third quarter, play would once again be suspended due to lighting.

And coupled with bad light, the AFL has decided to call the match off with the Demons being up by 35 points (78-43).
